An international car manufacturer is opening a new headquarters and creating Los Angeles sales jobs.
BYD Auto Company Limited, a Chinese manufacturer, recently announced its plans to locate the company's North American headquarters in Los Angeles. According to Automotive News, the company's new office and battery and solar panel development center will initially result in about 150 jobs, as well as 1,000 jobs in sales and product support.
The company's Los Angeles headquarters will be responsible for sales, marketing and research and development for BYD's automobiles and energy products, which include solar panels, LED lighting systems, and home and grid level energy storage units.
